Hot Tub Accessories
Got a garden hot tub? Need a few more things to help keep it in optimum condition? Or looking for those few little extras that will really make it special? Here are some ideas.
Hot tub covers
Your hot tub cover may need replacing after a while. They can become too heavy. Equally, accidents can happen! Or you may decide to upgrade your existing one, to be sure it’s 100% weatherproof or childproof. Covers are available in various materials and colours. You can also buy cover lifters in all shapes and sizes to help with both removal and replacement – especially handy for anyone suffering from arthritis or any other physical condition making lifting difficult.
Lighting
Whether vibrant or subtle, extra lighting can create a fantastic atmosphere in your spa or hot tub. Choose from side lights, underwater lights (some even come with a fountain feature) or floating lights. Or if you prefer to keep it natural, go for floating candle holders.
Cleaning products
There are various chemicals and cleaning products that are necessary to keep your hot tub working well, and to maintain its hygiene and ensure using it is a pleasant experience. These include chemicals such as chlorine and bromine, solutions for increasing the pH levels in your water, products to reduce the build-up of foam, and more. Check what your manufacturer recommends.
Music
Consider a waterproof sound system so that you can enjoy your favourite music while relaxing in your private jacuzzi. You can even find waterproof ipod cases and speakers!
Parts
Like anything, hot tubs can sometimes break down or need various replacement parts, often simply due to wear and tear. Almost any part can be replaced: filters, pumps, jets, valves, pipework, light housings and so on.
Food and drink
If you like to enjoy a beverage or snack while the jets gently massage you, there are various trays available which attach to the side of the hot tub, or even float on the water.
Fragrance
If you enjoy scented bubble baths, achieve the same effect in your hot tub and give yourself a truly relaxing spa experience with aromatherapy crystals with essential oils or scented spa beads or pearls, all designed especially for spas.
Just for fun
Finally, just for fun, you could get a duck-shaped floating candle holder, lighted wine flutes, waterproof playing cards, water dumbbells, fun animal-shaped thermometers… You’re limited only by your imagination!
